When people feel unloved they crave chocolate. We need more love in
the world – we definitely don’t want to run out of chocolate! Because of
demand for chocolate, more attention is being given to the rainforests.
Cacao grown in its native, natural setting is more potent and delicious
so cultivators are starting to pay more attention to their growing and
harvesting practices. Unlike coffee and coca, crops that require open
sunlight, the cacao lives and thrives under the forest canopy, where
monkeys delight in the fruits and propagate new trees by dispersing
the seeds throughout the rainforest.
