He’s a roustabout traveling with the circus, a long
ways from home. On a summer evening, he takes
a break from his job to write a letter. The stars are
shining and he ponders the nature of our existence
on Earth, far from his origins, but able to communicate
with a higher power and with those who’ve gone
before him. He misses his home, but finds comfort in
communion. Through his “letter” he reaches out to his
connections in this world, and perhaps the next.
